Fighting Against
Childhood Cancer
The Rylan Strong Network is dedicated to improving outcomes and support for children battling pediatric cancer. We also strive to increase public awareness about childhood cancer and highlight the critical funding disparity, as pediatric cancers receive only approximately 4 percent of annual cancer research funding.

Our reason why
Rylan was diagnosed with Medullomyoblastoma, an extremely rare pediatric brain cancer, on May 26, 2021. At the time of his diagnosis, he was the 51st known documented case of this disease worldwide.

Rylan courageously fought this battle for ten months before passing away on March 10, 2022. In his own way, he won that fight by leaving behind a legacy that continues to inspire advocacy, awareness, and action for children facing pediatric cancer.
Rylan’s journey and the challenges our family experienced throughout his battle led us to establish the Rylan Strong Network, an organization dedicated to supporting children and families affected by pediatric cancer while advocating for increased awareness, research, and systemic change.

Our 3 Primary Goals
1
Funding
Advocate for increased funding and investment in childhood cancer research.
2
Support
Provide support, resources, and assistance to children and families currently facing pediatric cancer, as well as those who have previously endured this battle.
3
Legislation
Promote and support legislation requiring insurance providers to ensure that children receive necessary medical treatment regardless of a hospital’s network or contract status.
