RYLAN'S STORY

Rylan was diagnosed with Medullomyoblastoma on May 26, 2021. He courageously fought for ten months before passing away on March 10, gaining his wings and leaving behind a legacy that continues to inspire action and advocacy.

At the time of his diagnosis, Rylan was only the 51st known documented case of this rare pediatric brain cancer.  Rylan’s battle and the challenges our family faced during that journey led us to establish the Rylan Strong Network, an organization dedicated to advocating for children and families affected by pediatric cancer.

The Rylan Strong Network focuses on three primary goals:

  • Advocate for increased funding and investment in childhood cancer research.

  1.

  • Provide support, resources, and assistance to children and families currently facing pediatric cancer, as well as those who have previously endured this battle.

  1.

  • Promote and support legislation requiring insurance providers to ensure that children receive necessary medical treatment regardless of a hospital’s network or contract status.
